An experienced craftsman, Robert Armitage has been creating high quality bespoke furniture in Bath and Somerset for more than 15 years; his reputation is built upon listening to his customer's needs and putting them first.
Bespoke-
All of the Items featured on this website were designed by Robert to the customer's specific requirements and created in his small Bath-based workshop.
Traditional and Contemporary-
Wherever appropriate, solid woods and traditional materials are used; however Robert is not prejudiced against contemporary materials if they are better suited to the purpose. Robert is a keen user of “Acrylic Stone”, a waterproof manmade composite material with the appearance of marble or granite, which can be polished, shaped and seamlessly jointed to make stunning curved worksurfaces in the kitchen or elsewhere.
Computer Aided Design-
Most projects involve an initial discussion, and drafting of design drawings. Through the use of Computer Aided Design it is possible to explore many options, refine and further refine the plans before the project is commissioned.
Priced Examples Throughout-
Although realistically priced, high quality bespoke furniture need not carry the prohibitive price tag often associated with it. This is something that Robert hopes to convey by the use of priced examples throughout this website.
