These twin Bespoke Alcove units were designed to fit symmetrically into alcoves
surrounding the fireplace of a large living room in Bath.
The Dresser style bookshelf unit of the upper section has 37 mm thick 'Box Section'
shelves which provide the rigidity and strength that is necessary on such wide span.
The Units have been designed to incorporate a 60 inch Television with it's Sound Bar
on the shelf above and all the necessary electrical connections have been discreetly
hidden behind the equipment.
The Cupboards below the work-surface house the peripheral equipment for the TV
including the DVD player, for example, and all the necessary electrical connections
are housed inside the cupboards.
The exterior of the units is painted in Farrow and Ball's 'Pointing 2003' whilst the
interior of the Cupboards (visible on enlargement 2 of the portrait photo
enlargements) is painted in Farrow and Ball's 'Plummett 272'.
