This Bespoke Georgian-style Home Office / Study was designed to complement the original fittings and decor of a room in a large Georgian Town House in central Bath. Incidentally, the adjoining room from which the main photograph was taken is the sixth page of the Living Room section of this website 'Bespoke Twin French-Style Cabinets', main page 6 of 37.
The Bookshelves over the central desk area are deeper than the other bookshelves accentuating the Cornice moulding. All the bookshelves have two structural 'Box-section shelves surrounding sets of removable / adjustable height shelves that rest on turned polished brass pegs.
The desktop which separates the bookshelves above from the cupboards and filing cabinets below is in Polished Solid American Oak.
Surrounding the work area on either side, below the Oak desktop, are Twin Filing Cabinets. The revised price on this page is for the filing cabinet drawers to be dovetail jointed out of solid Tulipwood.
To the right of the desk area the bookshelves continue over the door, spanning the door width with a box section shelf, and then meet the right hand wall with another thin bookshelf unit with it's Oak worktop and cupboard below, mirroring the thin bookshelf unit on the left of the door.
The Cupboards below the Oak Worktop to the left of the desk area have Bi-fold doors in order to minimise the distance that the doors swing into the room.
